Who Invented Bundt Cake?
Bundt cake was not invented by a single person. It originated in Germany and was traditionally baked in a ring-shaped pan known as a Bundkuchen. In the 1950s, Nordic Ware, a kitchenware company in the US, popularized bundt cake by creating a unique shaped pan that made it easy to bake the cake and manipulate the batter. However, the popularity of bundt cake really took off in the 1960s when a Texas woman won second place in the Pillsbury Bake-Off contest with her “Tunnel of Fudge” cake, which was baked in a bundt pan.
