What Is The Original Reuben Sandwich?
The original Reuben sandwich is a hot sandwich composed of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread. It is believed to have been created in the early 20th century at the Blackstone Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska by a group of poker players. However, there is also a dispute as to whether the sandwich was actually named after Reuben Kulakofsky, one of the poker players, or after a different person.
