What Is The Highest Quality Tequila?
The highest quality tequila is usually made from 100% blue Weber agave plants grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico and aged in oak barrels. Tequilas that are labeled as “anejo” or “extra anejo” are aged the longest and tend to be the highest quality options. Additionally, tequilas produced by smaller, artisanal distilleries using traditional methods are often considered to be of higher quality. Some examples of high-quality tequila brands include Casa Dragones, Clase Azul, and Don Julio 1942.
