Does Any Whiskey Have Sugar?
Most whiskey does not contain sugar. During the whiskey-making process, grains such as corn, rye, and barley are fermented and distilled to create alcohol. Sugar is not added during this process, and any residual sugars from the grains are converted to alcohol. However, some flavored whiskeys or whiskey liqueurs may contain added sugar or sweeteners for flavor. Therefore, it’s important to read the label carefully to determine whether a specific bottle of whiskey contains sugar.
