How Do You Prepare Rutabagas?
To prepare rutabagas, wash and peel them, then cut them into cubes or slices. Boil them in a pot of salted water until tender, usually about 20-30 minutes. Drain the water and mash the rutabagas with butter and salt and pepper to taste. Alternatively, you can roast the cubed rutabagas in the oven with some oil and seasonings for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are crispy and browned.
