How Do You Properly Clean Shrimp?
To properly clean shrimp, begin by removing the head and shell. Once the shell is removed, use a paring knife to make a shallow incision along the back of the shrimp. Remove the vein with the tip of a knife or a deveiner tool. Rinse the shrimp in cold water and gently pat dry with a paper towel. Be sure to discard the head, shell, and vein properly.
