Why Does The Pilot Light Keep Turning Off?
The pilot light may keep turning off due to various reasons, such as a faulty thermocouple, a dirty pilot orifice, a malfunctioning gas valve, or a draft affecting the flame. The thermocouple is responsible for monitoring the pilot flame and signaling the gas valve to release gas for the pilot light. If it is faulty, it may not signal the valve to release gas, resulting in the flame going out. Similarly, a dirty pilot orifice may reduce gas flow and cause the flame to go out. A malfunctioning gas valve or a draft that can extinguish the flame may also cause the pilot light to keep turning off.
