Why Do Texans Hate Beans In Chili?
Texans don’t hate beans in chili. In fact, many Texans enjoy putting beans in their chili. However, there is a historical argument that Texans who settled the state in the mid-1800s did not have access to beans and therefore did not include them in their chili recipes. Additionally, some Texans believe that putting beans in chili ruins the texture and flavor of the dish. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.
