How Do You Blanch Broccoli?
To blanch broccoli, bring a pot of water to a boil and add broccoli florets. Boil them for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender. Drain the water and immediately transfer the broccoli into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, remove the broccoli from the ice water and blot them dry with a towel.
