Does Corduroy Stretch Or Shrink?
Corduroy is usually made of cotton or a cotton blend, which tends to shrink when exposed to heat. Therefore, corduroy fabric is likely to shrink if exposed to high temperatures during washing or drying. However, some corduroy fabrics may have a small amount of spandex or elastane added to them, which could provide some stretch but the fabric’s degree of stretchability will vary by the composition.
