What Does Pan Bagnat Mean In French?
Pan Bagnat means “bathed bread” in French. It is a traditional sandwich from the Provence region of France which is made by soaking a crusty baguette loaf in olive oil and vinegar and filling it with tuna, anchovies, boiled eggs, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and olives. The sandwich is then wrapped tightly and allowed to sit for a few hours for the flavors to meld together.
