What Temperature Does Yogurt Cook At?
Yogurt does not undergo cooking at a specific temperature. Instead, it is fermented at around 110-115°F (43-46°C) for several hours. This allows the bacteria cultures to multiply and convert the lactose in the milk into lactic acid, which thickens and solidifies the mixture, resulting in the creamy and tangy yogurt we know and love. Once the desired consistency and flavor are achieved, the yogurt is cooled and refrigerated before being consumed.
