How Do You Cook Fresh Artichokes?
Start by washing the artichokes thoroughly and cutting off the top half-inch of the artichoke. Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, trim the remaining leaves’ spiky tips. Place them upside down in a large pot of salted boiling water with a quarter lemon and a couple of garlic cloves to add extra flavor for 30-40 minutes, depending on their size, until they become tender when pierced with a fork. Once cooked, you can serve them with butter, aioli, or any dip of your choice!
