What Fruits Can Be Poached?
Almost all types of fruits can be poached, but the most commonly used fruits for poaching are pears, apples, quinces, peaches, apricots, and plums. These fruits are firm and do not disintegrate easily during the poaching process. However, softer fruits like strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries can also be poached successfully, but they require a shorter cooking time. Poached fruits can be served as a dessert or used as a topping for cakes and ice cream.
