What Removes Sulfites From Wine?
There are different methods to remove sulfites from wine, but most involve the use of a sulfite-removing product or process. These products typically contain an enzyme called sulfite oxidase, which breaks down sulfites into sulfates that are more easily metabolized by the body. Other methods include using an aerator or simply decanting the wine and letting it sit for a while to allow sulfites to evaporate. However, it’s important to note that removing sulfites from wine may also remove some of its natural flavor and complexity.
