What Consistency Should Flood Icing Be?
Flood icing should be thin and runny in consistency, similar to a syrup or honey. This allows it to easily spread over cakes or cookies and fill in any gaps or details without cracking or becoming too thick. The ideal consistency is achieved by gradually adding small amounts of water or liquid to the icing until it reaches the desired texture. Too thin and it will run off the edges, while too thick it will be difficult to spread evenly.
