Why Did We Stop Having Milk Delivered?
The practice of milk delivery declined with the rise of supermarkets in the mid-20th century. As more people began to shop for groceries in large stores, the convenience of buying milk alongside other items outweighed the appeal of having it delivered. Additionally, the advent of refrigeration made it easier for people to keep milk fresh at home without relying on a daily delivery. With fewer customers, milk delivery services became less profitable and eventually phased out in many areas.
