How Long Should Baby Chicks Be Kept Inside?
Baby chicks should be kept indoors under a heat lamp for the first four to six weeks of their life. They need to be kept warm and dry during this time, with temperatures around 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit for the first week and decreasing by five degrees each week thereafter. Once they are fully feathered and can regulate their own body temperature, they can be safely moved outside to their coop or run.
