How Do You Make Homemade White Vinegar?
Homemade white vinegar is made by fermentation of a diluted solution of alcohol. To make it, mix together 2 cups of white wine, 2 cups of water, and 1 cup of white vinegar in a large glass jar. Cover the jar with a towel and secure it with a rubber band. Let it sit in a warm and dark place for about two weeks, stirring occasionally. After two weeks, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth into a clean jar, cover with a lid, and allow it to sit for another six weeks to fully ferment. The resulting liquid is white vinegar.
