Is 20 Year Old Wine Still Good?
It ultimately depends on the type of wine, how it was stored, and the quality of the bottle. Some red wines can age well for two or three decades and may even improve with age, while most white wines are best consumed within the first few years after production. If the wine has been properly stored in a cool, dark place with minimal exposure to light and fluctuations in temperature, and if it was a high-quality wine to begin with, there is a good chance a 20-year-old wine is still good. However, each wine will taste different and it is ultimately the drinker’s preference that matters.
