Why Is Tiramisu Alcoholic?
Tiramisu contains alcohol because it is traditionally made with Marsala wine, which is a fortified wine from Sicily. The wine helps to give the dessert its unique flavor and helps to balance the sweetness of the other ingredients. Additionally, some versions of tiramisu also include brandy or other liqueurs, which add further complexity to the dish. While alcohol-free versions of tiramisu do exist, they may not have the same depth of flavor and complexity as the original recipe.
