Should I Soak Sunflower Seeds Before Planting?
It is not necessary to soak sunflower seeds before planting, but doing so can potentially speed up germination by softening the outer shell. Soaking for about 12-24 hours and then drying the seeds before planting can improve the growth rate of sunflowers. However, soaking for too long or planting wet seeds may increase the risk of rotting or fungal infections.
