Tuna is a fish, not a fruit. However, tuna is known for being a good source of lean protein and omega-3 fatty acids which can be beneficial for heart health, brain function and reducing inflammation. However, consuming too much tuna can also pose a risk due to potential mercury content. It’s recommended to consume in moderation and choose canned light tuna varieties over albacore or yellowfin tuna.
