Asian salad can be made of a wide variety of ingredients, but commonly includes a mixture of greens such as lettuce, kale, or spinach, topped with veggies like carrots, bell peppers, and cucumbers. It may also have some fruit, like mandarin oranges or sliced apples, and nuts or seeds such as almonds or sesame seeds. The dressing is usually a combination of soy sauce, honey, vinegar, oil, ginger, and garlic to give it that distinct Asian flavour. Tofu, chicken, or shrimp can also be added as a protein source.
