Is The Egg Water Test Accurate?
The egg water test can be a useful way to determine if an egg is fresh or not. It works by placing an egg in a bowl of water and observing how it behaves. If the egg sinks to the bottom of the bowl and lies flat, it is fresh. If it tilts upwards or floats, it has gone bad. However, it is not 100% accurate, as eggs that are not fresh but still safe to eat may float due to the air cell that naturally develops as the egg ages. Therefore, it is always recommended to use other methods in conjunction with the egg water test to ensure the safety and freshness of the eggs.
