How Do You Crimp A Pie Crust?
To crimp a pie crust, first, roll the dough into a circle and place it in the pie dish. Trim the edges with a sharp knife leaving ½ inch overhang. Fold the overhang under itself creating a double layer of dough. Using your thumb and index finger, create a V shape with one hand and then press the V with the index finger of the other hand, repeating all around the pie crust. This creates a fluted edge to the pie crust. Alternatively, you can use a fork to press down on the edge of the crust all around the pie dish.
