Is Tamarind Puree The Same As Tamarind Paste?
Tamarind puree and tamarind paste are different forms of tamarind but both are made from the pulp of the tamarind fruit. Tamarind puree is a thinner, more liquid consistency that contains both the pulp and the seeds of the fruit. On the other hand, tamarind paste is a thicker, more concentrated version that is made by cooking down the pulp and removing the seeds. While they can be used interchangeably in some recipes, the texture and intensity of flavor may be different.
