How Much Does Polyester Shrink In The Dryer?
Polyester is a synthetic fabric that has a very low shrinkage rate, and hence it doesn’t shrink much in the dryer. However, the amount of shrinkage might vary depending on the quality of the fabric, its construction, and the heat setting on the dryer. Generally, polyester fabrics are pre-shrunk during manufacturing to minimize any further shrinkage, but some lower-quality polyester fabrics might shrink up to 5% in the dryer. It’s advisable to always check the care label on the garment before washing or drying it to avoid any unwanted shrinkage.
