Should Whiskey Be Cold Or Room Temp?
Whiskey should generally be consumed at room temperature. The reason behind this is that when it’s cold, the flavors tend to get muted and it can also become syrupy and less pleasant to drink. Additionally, a lot of the subtleties of the whiskey get lost when it’s consumed cold. However, some people may prefer their whiskey chilled, in which case they can add a small amount of ice or chill it for a brief period of time. Ultimately, it all comes down to personal preference.
