Where Did Pink Lemonade Come From?
The origins of pink lemonade are unclear, but there are a few popular theories. One theory is that it was accidentally created by a circus vendor who ran out of water and used the water left over from a batch of red-colored “fairy floss” (cotton candy) to make lemonade. Another theory is that it was created by a bartender who added grenadine (a syrup made from pomegranate juice) to regular lemonade for added flavor and color. Regardless of its origin, pink lemonade has become a popular variation of the classic summer drink.
