What Homemade Cookies Freeze Well?
Most homemade cookies freeze well. However, cookies with a higher fat content, like shortbread, or those with dense texture, like chocolate chip cookies, tend to have a better texture after thawing. Crispy cookies, such as ginger snaps or biscotti, also freeze well. Soft and chewy cookies may become a bit grainy after freezing and thawing, but they are still tasty. To freeze cookies, allow them to cool completely, layer them in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper, and store them in the freezer for up to three months.
