Vegetables can be made by various methods such as boiling, steaming, roasting, grilling, sautéing, stir-frying or even eating raw. To begin with, rinse the vegetables under running water to remove any dirt or chemicals. For boiling, place the vegetables in a pot filled with enough water to cover them, add salt and let them cook until tender. To steam, place the veggies in a steamer basket above a pot of boiling water and let them cook until tender. For roasting or grilling, cut the vegetables into small pieces and toss them with oil, salt and pepper, then roast in the oven or grill until tender. Sautéing and stir-frying involve cooking the vegetables in a heated pan with some oil until crispy and brown. Lastly, eating vegetables raw is the quickest way to consume them – they can be diced, sliced or shredded to be added in salads, sandwiches, or as sides.
