How Do You Braise?
Braising is a cooking technique that involves partially cooking food in liquid, then finishing it off in a dry environment. To braise, first, sear the meat or vegetables you plan to cook in a hot pan with some oil until it’s browned on all sides. Then add liquid such as stock, wine, or water to the pan along with any herbs or spices you want, then bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for a few hours or until the meat becomes tender. Lastly, remove the meat from the braising liquid and reduce the sauce and serve.
